visualise : what if the world returned to the barter system?
ReplyDeleteIt is evolution that brought us here from barter. So no way are we going back to that. But I dont see an option beside the dollar. They are the most liquid, can be printed as much as needed, supported by the strongest consumers, and the richest country ( still ) and the best producer till now. So by creating a new standard, we are not going to change much. As some expert said, Gold can be made a standard provided it costs a million dollars an ounce.
